What is Functional Medicine? Functional medicine is a patient-centered, science-based approach to treating chronic disease that focuses on the root cause of the underlying illnesses and conditions. Functional medicine considers the interaction of genes, environment, and lifestyle factors and uses specific lab testing and targeted treatment for each patient.
What do I get with my membership in the practice? General medical care- Including a yearly comprehensive annual physical exam. Functional medicine approach- looking at the root causes of diseases. Health coaching including nutrition, exercise and sleep recommendations. Longevity evaluation with reverse engineering and forecasting. Hormone optimization. Minor surgical procedures. IV fluid treatments. Visits at your home or YOUR office. 24/7 access to my by email, text, FaceTime, or my personal cellphone. Hospital visits to serve as your advocate if you are in the hospital. Referral to specialist care as needed.
Can keep seeing my Primary Care Physician (or Nurse Practitioner or Physicians Assistant…)? Yes!- Absolutely. I’m happy to share care with any primary care provider. I will coordinate any medications, interventions, etc. But, make no mistake, being independent I am your advocate and I don’t have any allegiance to any business or corporation.
Do I still need health insurance? Yes, your yearly membership covers a comprehensive history and annual physical as well as ongoing, as-needed medical care. Since there are certain services (such as labs, x-rays, hospitalizations, surgery) not covered under this plan, patients also need to retain primary insurance or Medicare.
Where is your office? I don’t have a formal office. For your convenience, I will meet you at your home, your office or meet you at my home.
How much does it cost? The initial consultation is $100. This is will be applied towards your yearly membership if you decide to join my practice. The yearly membership to my practice is $2000/year as a one time payment or $175/month as an automatic draft with a one year agreement.
How many patients do you see? I limit my practice to 100 men. This allows me to really get to know you, understand your health goals and give you personalized care.
